Smile?

It’s been said that the utter paucity of my pearly whites on display is but crankiness on my part. Truthfully, such is the brilliance of my smile that, should I deign to reveal it, the wattage would punch a hole in the space-time continuum. And while that has led to the loss of lacy unmentionables and even breakfast in bed on occasion, I’ve no desire to change the price of tea in China today. However, if one were looking at me just so, one might see the barest twitch of my upper lip, or the corners of my mouth curve into the outer spiral of a chambered nautilus, pink and trembling with infinite possibility.
