I’m not an artist and I don’t play one on TV.
But when I’m stressed or distracted (or attempting to do revisions and feeling overwhelmed, *ahem*) I tend to doodle.
And I doodle eyes.
A lot.
And little squiggly vine things.
I’m not entirely sure what the eye thing means – I’ve done it for as long as I can remember. It’s almost always just one eye. And vine things. Sometimes cat faces or dog faces or snakes, but it always comes back to eyes and vines.
I’m sure there’s some esoteric meaning or process to explain it. I’ve heard doodling eyes means you’re paranoid or feeling like everyone is watching you. (Possible). I don’t know about the vines – maybe I’m feeling trapped?
Or maybe I just like drawing eyes and vines.
(Incidentally, I’m also a rabid gum chewer when I’m writing. Or stressed out – I’ve been trying to cut back on stress eating, so the gum helps a bit, but I can go through a pack of Trident in 15 minutes or less. Hence the two empty packs sitting up there on the desk.)
On a completely random note, if you have wordpress and you hate the 2 meg upload limit for your posts? This link tells you how to adjust that (assuming you have the access to do it.) I tried it and it works great, and yay for not having to constantly resize my pictures.)
