It’s been one of those surreal sorts of weeks where everything has devolved into utter chaos.
So I’m going to whine. Lucky you.
Lucy’s hacking away at night with this lousy cough making sleep hard to come by. Connor took a digger playing basketball and torqued his knee. (I’m just waiting for the phone call from school telling me to come get him – I did the ice and ibuprofen thing this morning, but it was pretty stiff. I kinda doubt he’ll be playing in his game tonight, which sucks – but we’ll still go and support the team.)
And my joints just hurt all over today for no apparent reason. (Though I did somehow manage to crack a knuckle and maybe mess up a ligament in my hand. Burns like hell every time I try to twist open something. Meh. Body is falling apart. And I know I’m stressing out about it because all I want to do is buy video games. I’m desperately sitting on my hands and trying not to buy a Founder’s Pack for the upcoming NWN MMO. I just want to find a game to sweep me away again – but I’m tired of dropping $$ and getting disappointed. But still. SPIDER MOUNT.)
I’ve got a website deadline this weekend that I’ve been trying to reach, but it’s going to be a tight squeeze. I should manage, but let’s just say I’m really looking to sleeping in on Sunday and leave it at that. >_<
Writing is still happening in general, and I’m grateful for that, though this week has been a slower pace just due the above mentioned stuff and trying to settle into the new job. (Lots of new stuff coming at me, but so far it’s good. Busy is always better.)
Anyway – this week at Word Whores we are doing a round robin story – with each one of us picking up where the last one leaves off and making it up as we go. Here’s what we’ve got so far – more to come tomorrow and Saturday, obviously.
