I seem to recall a few posts back something something resolutions, gonna blog more and be more socially involved and I bought this fancy new scheduler and more organization and more…IDK adulting. Or something. Well, I guess I’m not much good at it, best intentions and all that. Not that I’ve been sitting around doing nothing, mind. I just haven’t been particularly good about talking about it. The fall out with the mice from the last post or so was…extreme. I’ve been dealing with contractors the last several months, involving the rebuild of two rooms, a bathroom remodel, hot water heater replacement, and some electrical issues which we finally tracked down to 1) charred(!) wires near the hot water heater and 2) a bad wire out in the yard connected to our lamp post. But all is compete and done and while we still have a number of things to…

Well, I haven’t updated in a while. There’s always reasons, I suppose – some are health related, some are holiday related, some are writing related. (And*cough*Dragon Age Inquisition*cough* 1st playthrough was over 130 hours who me?*cough*I romanced the bald egg elf because of course I did*cough* I regret nothing.) That and the office job has been kicking my ass fairly regularly. I used to blog during my lunch hour, but office security has been tightening up as far as online stuff goes – I can’t log into certain IM clients anymore, Sad Sausage Dogs was actually listed as a pr0n site (hello? it’s my web comic?)…and access to this site is also restricted. Oddly enough, I can get to it and I can attempt to create a post – but upon posting, it wigs out and says the site is untrusted and therefore, no. And then I lose everything I’ve written.…

F is for Fibro, G is for Gluten
I’ve caught a bit of a breather today at work so I’m able to get a quick post in for the first time in forever. And not that I want to continue to discuss health issues all that much, but I got a fair number of emails about the fibro thing – support from others who have it, or illnesses like it and questions on how I cope with the pain all the time and things like that. And I don’t have a huge amount of answers simply because I’m wrapping my brain around it myself right now, but figured I would maybe touch on a few things I am trying that may help. 1. Going gluten free. I’d had a few people suggest this before, but I’d sorta poo-poohed it, because I love carbs. I eat pasta all the time and how could I possibly think of cutting it…

Most of you know by now that I’ve been dealing with chronic pain issues for a pretty long time, compounded by a back that is falling apart by the day. The sort of good news on the back front is that I’ve gotten the go ahead for the double fusion – which I will be trying to schedule for some time in September – I’ll probably be AWOL for at least several weeks during that time period, but I’ll know more about my schedule when I get closer to it. So today I went to an arthritis doc – and we talked through the other stuff I’ve been dealing with, and she ordered some more bloodwork and some x-rays, but she suspects I have Fibromyalgia. TMI warning, blah blah blah. Which is something I’ve sorta wondered about for a while, but I never looked too closely at it because a…
