Word Whore Thursday

Posted in blog | Tagged , , , , | Leave a comment
I’m over at Word Whores for my regularly scheduled post – today it’s about favorite TV shows. Stop on by for a warped look at my childhood favs (lots of Marty & Krofft in there, *ahem*) Aside from that, I’ve got an author interview over at Between Dreams and Reality. And Night Owl Reviews was kind enough to give A Sliver of Shadow 4.5 stars and made it a top pick! Also, here’s a little preview image of a rough look at the Fox & Willow cover art (which will be updated when we go live, but I really dig the design of it.) I’m cranking through a rather simple website design and I’m hoping to go live with that in the next few weeks so that we’ve got an actual landing pad for Sad Sausage Dogs. *wipes brow* Who needs sleep?… Read more

Word Whore Thursday: Phineas Edition

Posted in blog | Tagged , , , | Leave a comment
I decided to let my…um…better half take the blog reins today. After all – we’re talking about sidekicks this week on Word Whores, and who better to discuss that than the little shit himself? Other news: I’ve got the cover flats for A Sliver of Shadow…but I can’t show them yet. Soon, soon. 😀 Also, I’ve got an interview and giveaway over at A Great Book is the Cheapest Vacation. Enter for a chance to win a signed copy of either A Brush of Darkness or A Sliver of Shadow (winner’s choice). Open until November 10th.… Read more

Word Whores, Live Chats & Giveaways!

Posted in blog | Tagged , , | 1 Comment
Okay – I’m all over the place today! First up is my usual weekly post over at Word Whores – this week we’re discussing our favorite street corners. (Odd topic and strangely hard to write.) I’m also over at Book Monster Reviews with an author interview and tonight I’ve got a live author chat over at Literal Addiction from 8-10 PM EST. Both sites have chances for you to win a signed copy of A Brush of Darkness or the sequel, A Sliver of Shadow (Release date of Feb 2012). I’m leaving the choice up to the winner – and I’ll toss in some trading cards with that as well. (There are new ones coming with new characters in the next few months.) So please stop on my and leave some comments or questions! (I have NO idea what I’ll be discussing during the chat – anything and everything is… Read more

Word Whores: Holidays

Posted in blog | Tagged , , | 1 Comment
I’m over at Word-Whores today talking a little bit about holidays. Think I just got sorta off-base and rambly though. Suppose that’s okay. Otherwise, I just want to give a quick shout out to Jeffe Kennedy for her release yesterday of Feeding the Vampire! Go check it out! 🙂 Also somewhat randomly, @kindlegraph has created a funky new service which allows authors to “sign” Kindle copies of books. Essentially, if you have a Kindle and you want an autograph of sorts – you go sign up for this free service and then I customize a message and attach digital signature and it automatically gets downloaded to your Kindle, just like an ebook. 🙂 So, if you’re interested in getting something like that from me, go here and make a request.  (It’s still in beta, so there may be a few bumps, but if this can get expanded into other formats… Read more

Word Whore Thursday: Assimilation

Posted in blog | Tagged , , , | Leave a comment
I’m over at Word-Whores today, chatting a little bit about what it means to be a geek today vs the the past. Otherwise, there’s not much new going on except yay for cleaning the house. Not quite done, but it’s getting there in little bits and pieces. I’m enjoying my week of non-writing overall (except for some little bits here and there), but I’ll be getting back on the horse next week as the outline for BoD3 was approved yesterday. I’ve got about 20k or so already written on it, but the edits for SoS were sorta sucking up all my time. Besides, I wanted to make sure it was a go before I got too much further into it – it’s a bit heartbreaking to realize that I might have to undo all of that if the publisher decides they want changes. And the Legacy DLC for DA2? Mmmmm….so very,… Read more
