Word Whore Thursday
I’m a little late getting my posts up today – my work computer was upgraded and I’ve been on the “install/update/” roller coaster for the last few hours. Still not quite there, but at least I can use it now. Word Whore Thursday
I’m over at Word Whores today talking a little bit about my neurotic tendencies dealing with reviews. And speaking of reviews, the blog-o-sphere blew up a bit yesterday with this post over at Authors Helping Authors. The original post was changed since it went up, but as you can see by the crazy number of comments, clearly a nerve was struck. And whichever side of the line you fall on, it’s pretty obvious that it’s a no-win situation, and it’s why authors really shouldn’t go there. Authors and reviewers – we’re all human and we all make mistakes and we all get angry and hurt, but the internet has made it so easy to shove your foot so far down your own throat that you’d be crapping boot leather for a week. Word Whore Thursday
I’m over at Word Whores today, as per usual, talking it up about why I like writing sex scenes. However, it does get a little TMI as far as some things in my personal life go (medically speaking), so fair warning there. And my usual disclaimer here is that I don’t talk about these issues to garner sympathy, but to let other women who have similar issues know that there *is* support out there. Having dealt with this particular level of chronic pain for nearly twenty years, I’m very much aware of the despair that can go along with it. Anyway, so there is that. Word Whores: Guilty Pleasures
I’m over at Word Whores today talking about my own guilty pleasure (computer gaming, of course.).
